Equipping Village Missionaries in Alaska

Bob and Jane Wendt are missionary appointees with SEND International designated to serve in Alaska and the Yukon.  They will provide on-the-field personnel support by encouraging, equipping and counseling the missionaries serving in the remote villages across Alaska. 

A sub-zero trip to Alaska in February of 2004 resulted in an exciting end to their search for the right ministry fit.  The SEND Alaska Director was actively looking for someone with counseling skills and experience in dealing with family crisis issues.  Bob's ministry background made for a perfect match.  In addition, Jane was thoroughly excited about potential ministries applying her teaching and writing skills while serving with Bob in the far north.

Their home base will be Glennallen, Alaska, where opportunities abound for service and outreach while adjusting to northern life with Daniel, their 14-year old son.

It is their earnest desire to provide the support needed to keep field workers equipped so that the hope of the Gospel is shared in vibrant, consistent ways with Native Americans and others across the vast 49th state where so many people need to hear about and experience Christ's love.

All contributions are tax deductible.  They are sought with the understanding that SEND International has complete discretion and control over the use of all donated funds.  Each contribution for an approved program will be used as restricted with the understanding that funds received in excess of the amount required will be used where needed most.
